The Orgone Blanket
Originally designed by Wilhelm Reich's daughter, Eva Reich, this format is ideal for home use as it does not present complicated difficulties of use. Despite its name, the orgone blanket is not a real blanket. Its main purpose is to wrap the affected part of the body. For this reason, its dimensions (150x50 cm) are those that over time have given the best results for this very purpose. Then many people use it in bed completely open both above (which I recommend) and below their body. Keeping it underneath slightly limits its effect.
Below you will find photos of some possible uses. And of course knowing more in detail the reason that pushes you to buy a blanket, I can suggest the best use.
​The blanket can be useful in all of the following cases (the recommended method of use is also indicated in brackets):

people over 50 to preserve their energy and body fluids (use it along the back and wrapped around the abdomen)

people with chronic energy disorders such as diabetes or thyroid problems (around the abdomen and also along the front center line of the body until it reaches the thyroid)

people with a history of neoformations (cancer) especially if a removal of the tumor has occurred to prevent the tumor from recurring (on the back and around the abdomen)

situations of chronical fatigue (along the back and around the abdomen)

intestinal disorders, especially if they are inflammation or ulcers (gastritis) (around the abdomen or folded in 3 on the belly)

joint problems especially if there is cartilage wear and inflammation (wrapped in a spiral and inserting the limb in question)

bone necrosis (wrapped in a spiral and inserting the limb in question)

Only in cases of hypertension should blood pressure be monitored during the first sessions. Generally, regular use of the blanket helps to improve the blood pressure picture.​
Dimensions and materials
Approximate dimensions of the blanket: 60 x 20 x 1 in.
The materials used are cotton and polyester in different thicknesses interspersed with extra-fine 0000 steel wool. The lining is 100% cotton and is the only washable part of the blanket.
Maintenance
The orgone blanket is not washable, so it has a cotton lining that can be removed and washed like cotton even at high temperatures.
When not in use, it should be kept open, hanging on a chair or spread out on a bed or the back of a sofa.
On nice days and if you intend to use it you can lay it out in the sun for a few hours. However, this is absolutely not mandatory or essential for using the blanket!!
Keep it away from humid places.

Usage tips
The blanket has a label that I invite you to read and that indicates the external side, that is, the side opposite to the one that comes into contact with the body. This rule is not respected only when the blanket is used folded in two or three. In this last case, the external part will remain outside the blanket. It is not necessary that it is in direct contact with the skin although in some cases (burns, wounds, muscle tears it is advisable).
It can be wrapped around a limb, the chest, the abdomen for example. The use of the blanket wrapped around a part of the body increases its effects. In some cases it is advisable to use it along the central axis of the back or front of the body. See the indications given above.
Treatments should be started, unless otherwise indicated, with 20-30 minute sessions, but should be stopped even earlier if you experience unpleasant heat, headache or nausea. Sessions can be progressively increased until reaching treatments of one or two hours, or for the whole night. This is always recommended in need of tissue recovery.
Over time, you will learn to better dose the use of the blanket according to your needs. This means that if you feel good, you can even keep the orgone blanket all night.
Consider that it will accumulate more vital energy on days of good weather and in the most central hours of the day, while it will be less effective on days of low pressure and rain. Only exclusively before a storm its effect is significantly reduced.
